This is about me and my weight loss journey. I am not only losing weight, but I'm also removing toxins from my body. Post my diet, I will be following a structured healthy way of eating, which I have been following before the Master Cleanse or Maple Syrup Diet. The thing is, I'm not exactly fat - but I have gained quite a bit of weight which I would like to lose. During my 1st cleanse I managed to lose 22.5lbs /10.2 kg and learn a lot. I'm into my third cleanse now.

| Day two, 2nd cleanse |
Last night through to the early hours of this morning, I had about 4 BMs and more when I got up. Needless to say I'm really tired from getting up every now and then. I have had my tea and SWF this morning and I've also made my first drink.
I have also done a few sit ups and will continue to do more exercise throughout the day. I haven't weighed in at all - I really think last time I was obsessed about the scales and this time round I have learned that I need to focus on other things. I'll weigh in On Saturday morning.
Edit: 10.12am, I just had an accident. I can't even believe it! Ok here it goes. I was goingto get some bonjela for an ulcer and I thought I felt like farting, so I did - except that it wasn't fart and I only realised when I saw some liquid. At least I was right in front of the shower and went straight in. My husband will be laughing his butt off when he hears this, I am still trying to digest the whole thing myself.
Edit: 18.27pm, Today has gone like a breeze, I have been a little busy body so that's helped me get my mind off things. I'm in the middle of cooking right now, and have my juice right beside me, so till tomorrow then ;)
Lessons from my 1st cleanse After 15 days of cleansing, I was scared to break my fast because I used to have a really big tummy mainly due to bloating. I was afraid that would happen again. I was also aware that my metabolism would have slowed down and was just a bit afraid that I may gain all the weight I lost. Breaking the fast was incredibly difficult, because you think certain things you haven't been eating will taste good, but most of them don't really.
For instance I started on orange juice - which was great and then soup. The vegetable soup was very nutritious and I really enjoyed that. I noticed some carrots when I went to the loo and that told me that I probably wasn't chewing my food well? I learned that I need to chew everything to help with digestion and to take my time when eating so that I can feel satisfied rather than rushing.
I had pizza the other day and it was horrible! Maybe it just wasn't made well but pizza hut always tastes the same. It wasn't my favourite before the cleanse but now I'm sure I couldn't care less if I never had any again.
I started bloating post cleanse - my worst fear! I wasn't happy about this but it taught me something about the way I eat. I was able to examine the food I had in the 10 days post cleanse, because it was such a short period. I knew that I stopped having BMs after I started binging on meat and had less vegetables / salads and a bit more of carbohydrates. I could never be a vegetarian - that's just not me. However I know now what I need to eat, I guess it's just how I balance my meals.
Post my second cleanse I think I will stay on veg and fruit for a week - juices, salads and soup. I will then add other foods later but in very small quantities. For example, I can have 1 small potato with a lean lamb chop and plenty of veg - I mean plenty - ok just enough to satisfy me. So in essence, less carbs and meat, but more veg.
It's easy to say it and plan it, but executing it can be quite difficult especially when you need fresh veg and fruit for most salads and it goes off quickly sometimes especially when it's organic. I really can't be bothered going to the shops all the time, so hopefully I can find a way of getting fresh veg and fruit. I like the notion of having it delivered weekly or fortnightly to cut down on delivery charges. But I'm not sure about that, especially if it's from the supermarket because they might not check properly if it's fresh etc and just that in itself puts me off. So maybe those organic boxes or something. I'll see how I get on. At the moment I'm on target for 15 days, 27 August 2007. I could go up to the 2nd of August 2007 if doing 21 days. But we'll see. Somehow I feel quite confident.Labels: accident, bloating, exercise, fart, scales, vegetable soup, weigh, weight |
